I was not able to purchase it the store, but when they did have it it was much more expensive.
What can I say. It's little, it works, and it was five dollars. That pretty much makes it a 100% winner for me.
I purchased this M+ 1GB xD card for my Olympus C8080WZ. old. 2063 for the xD, 7740 for the Compact Flash on 1600x1200 JPG, even though actual frame counts will be more. I chose 1GB instead of larger size because my 4GB Compact Flash I was using before took more time to start up and longer wait between the shots than 32 MB xD the original came with the camera. I'm planning to use the xD for the photos, Compact Flash for the video, mostly.I don't think I'll need another card for the camera, and I think I made a good investment. It worked out right. Because more and more stores stop carrying xD card, I thought I had to have one before they totally disappear from the market.I chose M+ because I have read somewhere that this one records longer video than older one like type M. My concern was unfounded, it works flawlessly. The capacity of 1 GB xD is bigger than 1/4 of 4GB Compact Flash.
It works just as quickly as the original 32 MB xD, though it could be a difference between Compact Flash and xD.Only thing I was worried about was the compatibility issue. The card was one of the newest type and my camera was 4 yr. It's nice to have both card at the same time and switchable. I love the camera and I plan to use it until stops working or the card fails and no longer can be found.
I have used Olympus products for a long time. Very dependable and easy to use.
